Be The Kind of Parent You

Want To Be

In life, there isn’t a “parent orientation.”

No parent starts off knowing what to do...

Without Conscious Effort, Our Parenting Methods Can Create Conflict Instead of Connection.

The authoritarian way most of us have been taught to parent, creates conflict and frustration, endless power struggles and leaves us with broken and distant relationships with our children.

When we parent our children without working through our own history, we are destined to repeat painful patterns we ourselves experienced as children, no matter how badly we want it to be different.

Healing

Heal the wounds you experienced as a child, so your children don’t have to

Trust

Create a relationship with your children based on trust, connection and collaboration

Harmony

Experience peace, harmony and mutual understanding with your children

It’s Never Too Late to
Turn Things Around

No matter what your relationship with your child(ren) looks like right now, there is hope.

It can be hard to believe there is truly another way. But I promise you there is.

In whatever capacity you care for children, parent, caregiver, legal guardian, grandparent, etc. none of us start off knowing what to do. We create plans, try to be the people we want to be and watch as our idealistic imaginings get run over by the reality of daily life and the immense pressures of caring for children.

"I fit the profile of the typical ‘busy mom.’ When I began working with Natalie, being a mom had no joy or reward for me. She opened my eyes to the importance of connection, play, and gave me tools to use to manage what felt unmanageable before."

-Morgan, California mom of 4

"I am only halfway through and have already found new ways to connect with my girls."

-Sara, Vermont mom of 2

"Having such a diversity of experience with different ages and needs of children it gave me confidence that Natalie was the parenting coach I needed."

-Kathryn, California mom of 2

Hi! I’m Natalie Raby

I became a parenting coach because I am completely committed to helping parents create deep connections, trust, and harmony with their children.

I bring to this work 20 years of experience both as an educator and school counselor. I have extensive experience working alongside families and caregivers to support a wide variety of children’s behavioral and social-emotional needs. I know firsthand how essential the parent-child attachment is to the wellbeing of a child.

I have formal education in psychology, human development, counseling, and therapeutic modalities. I am also a mom of four wonderful children. I have experienced amazing transformations in my own parenting practices while working to become a parenting coach.

I believe all children deserve to be guided and loved by the best version of ourselves.

I know that you want to be a loving, peaceful parent that has a meaningful connected relationship with your children. You need to find a way to reimagine and reestablish a different kind of relationship with your children.

The traditional authoritarian model of parenting isn’t working

It makes you feel like you’re not doing a good job.

But that's not the truth. I believe that the real issue is that we’re not taught how to be the kind of parents most of us long to be so we end up slipping into the patterns that were ingrained in us in our own childhoods.

Which is why when you contact me, you will be met with understanding, a non-judgemental openness and a supportive, personalized, effective plan that I will personally guide you through every step of the way.

How It Works:

When you book a call with me, we’ll sit down together and talk so I can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where I can offer support.

I’ll explain my approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.

If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started.  If it’s not a good fit, I will do my best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.

"It was hard to know what would help or hurt my daughter’s situation. Natalie helped me to prioritize connection over correction when my child was experiencing school avoidance."

-Jill, California mom of 1

"My wife and I work opposite schedules and it can be really hard to manage our children’s needs. Natalie held space for my concerns about our parenting challenges and I was able to create a plan to make small changes that have had big impacts."

-Nate, California dad of 3
